Webiocosm Zoo

Welcome to the Webiocosm Zoo. Since I have been maintaining these web pages, the one thing that has most consistently given me satisfaction, is photographing and classifying of various animals. My attendant goal has been to have a new one as often as possible for Modulator's Friday Ark. Now I have a new additional goal, which is to outline the animal kingdom here and attach photographs that I have taken. I have chosen Wikipedia as my main source of classification information as well as Animal Diversity Web and Montgomery College Library. If someone disagrees with the way I have done things, my response is that they can go to Wikipedia and change it. If it sticks then I will change it here as well. I am not a professional, this is just my version of stamp collecting, so please do not base important work on what you find here. Since I started, and placed the main taxonomic classifications, I have decided, in the interest of time, to only list and link the subdivision of each branch of the classification scheme for which I have entries. For example, if I was starting over you would only see phylum Chordata and Arthropoda under the Animal Kingdom heading at this point because those are the only ones I have entries for. Hopefully that will make this project more manageable for me and the branches will fill out as time goes on.
