Housefly Emerges From Its Pupal Case

This is the end of my two week time-lapse filming of the development of a common housefly. The eggs were laid on a piece of baked chicken that I left out for just a few hours. I shot this in real time with my Canon PowerShot S3 IS.   The large, QuickTime version of the time-lapse of the development of this fly from an egg up to this point can be seen here.  Or you can hit the back button to go to the time-lapse home page for other viewing options.
